MA-600
upgrades your desktop PC
More and more mobile devices like Mobile
Phones, PDAs, Palmtops, Digital Still Cameras, and Notebook PCs
are equipped with a standard IrDA Infrared Port. However, most
of the desktop PCs have no Infrared Port in the standard system
configuration. It is necessary for the owners of those mobile
devices to upgrade their desktop PC with a standard IrDA port
to connect to those mobile devices.
Total solution for mobile phone users
The MA-600 retail package is not a
pure Infrared Adapter. There is a CD-ROM with Handset Manager
software in it. For infrared-equipped mobile phone users, the
Handset Manager plus the MA-600 hardware is the idea solution
for them to do the following jobs easily:

Import, edit, export your phone book and business contacts
on the PC and transfer it to the phone. |

Edit, organize the calendar on the PC and synchronize
it to the phone. |

Edit and change the personal Ring Tone, Operator Logo
Graphics of the mobile phone. |

Manage, edit and send the SMS short message of the mobile
phone. |
As Wireless Cable to mobile devices
Many devices provide standard RS-232
cables for PC connection. Normally one end of the cable is standard
DB-9 connector, the other end is a specialized connector for the
device. If the serial port is connected to only one device, it
is ok. However, if you need to synchronize the data into Palm
Pilot and NOKIA mobile phone, you may face the headache of changing
cables. The MA-600 is a standard IrDA port, capable to connect
to different mobile devices as long as they meet IrDA standard
and provide software on the PC to connect via IrDA port. By using
MA-600 and appropriate software, you can edit/transmit the phone
book and calendar to the mobile phone, use the mobile phone as
an wireless modem, do wireless file transfer between notebook
and desktop PC, HotSync to your Palm Pilot, and get image picture
from digital camera.
