Specifically, the belt model is useful for hearing impaired users. By placing the E-Scope on the belt or lab coat and connecting to optional headphones, the hearing impaired user can use a stethoscope without removing the hearing aid. By placing the E-Scope on the belt or lab coat and connecting to optional headphones, the hearing impaired user can use a stethoscope without removing the hearing aid. The E-Scope does not work with all hearing aids, but it is quite satisfactory for most. If the hearing aid is an "in ear" hearing aid, we recommend the use of our Optional earphones (Cat. no. 718-0405). The earphones are placed over the ears and plugged into the output of the E-Scope. The Belt model E-Scope is clipped onto a belt or lab coat and the headphones are plugged into the E-Scope. Used in this manner, it is not necessary to remove the hearing aids from the ears while listening. With some hearing aids, we have had reports of feedback. This occurs occasionally, but in the vast majority of situations, we have had satisfactory reports. The Belt Model E-Scope is available with a standard stethoscope head. The E-Scope is supplied with a standard and pediatric diaphragm as well as adult, pediatric and infant bells. Please note that the Earphones are not included with the E-Scope, #C718-7123.
