Andy Lau turns in a powerful performance in Days of Tomorrow, an affecting 1993 romantic drama. Yan (Hilary Tsui) is a young woman who becomes embroiled in story from the past when she tries out for a job on the remake of a classic film called Days of Tomorrow. The original film starred matinee idol Fong Tak Shing (Andy Lau), who was also the father Yan never met. Yan meets Nancy (Carrie Ng), the director of the original film, and from their chance meeting unfolds the tale of Fong Tak Shing’s affairs with both Nancy and starlet Ling (Jay Lau Kam Ling) - and possibly some revelations about Yan’s true parents. Lau Yu Ming directed this heartbreaking melodrama, which shifts between past and present to tell its years-spanning tale of a girl in search of her parents....
