This cable allows you to plug your GARMIN eMap, eTrex and eSummit Series Personal Navigator directly into your PC's serial port. Create routes and waypoints on your PC and transfer them to your GPS. Also allows you to download map detail from MapSource CD-ROMs to compatible units. Cable features a standard 9-pin D connector. Does not provide wiring for external power. Use NMEA 0183 interface to synchronize waypoints, routes with connection. Has been tested with oziexplorer and all compatible software. With appropiate maps it will show your situation, route, velocity, etc. at any place in the world. Can be connected to USB port with USB to Serial Cable Converter. You can use this cable to upgrade your garmin etrex / esummit firmware, so you can get new enhancements and features implemented at your garmin GPS in the future.
