The GARMIN eTrex Venture offers a worldwide database of cities and increased internal memory.

The memory capacity of one megabyte allows the GARMIN eTrex Venture to accept downloaded information from GARMIN's new MapSource® Points of Interests CD-ROM. The CD enables eTrex Venture users to download locations such as restaurants, hotels, shopping, and entertainment. Once the information is loaded into the eTrex Venture, you can make a selection and telephone and address information for a particular point of interest will appear on the screen. The CD also includes marine data such as lights, buoys, wrecks and obstructions. The GARMIN eTrex Venture comes housed in a stylish, translucent green case.  Enjoy the astonishing detail of the Garmin eTrex Venture GPS's  High resolution (160 x 288 pixels) display and bright backlighting.

The Garmin eTrex Venture GPS supports the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) differential GPS corrections through a system of ground stations and geosyncronous satellites. Without any additional equipment or fees, the Garmin eTrex Venture GPS uses WAAS to realize position accuracy of better than 9 feet, 95% of the time (typical)*.

*WAAS is available in Americas only.  Accuracy may be degraded when view of the horizon is obstructed by trees or mountains.
