The Nikon Coolpix L14 is a quality compact digital camera that combines high performance with operating ease, as well as also providing long battery life. Built on a custom application of Nikon's innovative EXPEED digital image processing concept and incorporating the precision optics of a Nikkor lens, the Coolpix L14 is built to realize optimum performance and maximum image quality. The Nikon Coolpix L14 is a quality compact digital camera that combines high performance with operating ease, as well as also providing long battery life. Built on a custom application of Nikon's innovative EXPEED digital image processing concept and incorporating the precision optics of a Nikkor lens, the Coolpix L14 is built to realize optimum performance and maximum image quality. The Coolpix L14 makes full use of its 7.1 effective megapixels, capturing true-to-life color and fine detail that leaves plenty of freedom to crop or produce enlargements. Paired with the precision optics of a 3x Zoom-Nikkor lens that covers a practical range of 38-114mm (35mm equivalent) the new model captures a range of scenes, from group shots to close-up portraits. The Coolpix L14 offers the world's longest battery life, maximizing the power of the supplied Energizer lithium AA-size batteries. Using a standard battery size that is widely available around the world brings a great advantage in that it means never worrying about recharging or running out of power. Better still, the energy efficient design of the Coolpix L14 allows it to shoot 1,000 photos on a pair of Energizer lithium AA-size batteries. (The Coolpix L14 offers best battery performance in 3x zoom compact class as of August 30, 2007, according to research conducted by Nikon Corporation. Takes approximately 1,000 shots with supplied Energizer lithium, 440 shots with alkaline or 520 shots with EN-MH1 batteries [based on CIPA standard].)
