Nokia announced its latest GPS-enabled "Communicator", the E90, at the 3GSM 2007 conference. This is a popular form factor with a dedicated following that Nokia first introduced years ago. The form factor continues to get refined, but remains substantively unchanged. The technology within it, however, is always up-to-date.
The Nokia E90 is designed for the global traveler. It supports quad-band GSM, 3G, HSDPA (very high-speed wireless data), Bluetooth, and more. It has an integrated GPS receiver and comes preloaded with global maps. There is a 3.2-megapixel camera that supports both audio and video recording. The E90 features a QVGA screen and can be used as a regular mobile, but opens up clamshell-style to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. It runs the Symbian S60 third edition software for which there are copious third-party applications. Thus, it must be all too obvious why it is known as "The Communicator" -- it is a powerful tool for the global executive. Key Features
