Tsui Hark’s film Once upon A Time in China 1 was very popular for his new methods of illustrating roles. In this following film, the reason why China was weak in modern history was pointed out -- it is due to ignorance of people and corruption of Qing government. Therefore, it was time that people who like Sun Wen and Lu Haodong etc. standed out to save China with advanced western civilisation. In the end of Qing Dynasty, the government was in serious state of corruption. Huang Feihong, Aunt Yee, and Liang Kuan caught a religious group-- Bai Lian Jiao set fire on western church schools, then they knew that an official Yuan Shu protected Bai Lian Jiao against revolutionist party. Unexpectedly, Huang met with the revolutionist leader Sun Wen and cherished him. Huang was discontent with the killing by Bai Lian Jiao, he broke into their headquarter and killed their leaders. When he saw Lu Haodong died for revolution, he decided to fight with Yuan Shu regardless of his own safety, as to save Sun Wen and the revolution in China.
