This version requires latest Prodigy LPT build: 2.44, please use the suppliedProdUpdate.exe for that. Also make sure that you restart you PC to updatethe device driver
The start up tests on the loaders directory is to help users that forget tocopy the loaders. Let us know if there are problems with directory detection.
Please if you flash phone with MM device, make sure you have other flasherthat supports this, so you can restore your phone in case of a bugs or problemwe missed.
The auto selection of the flash files based on Fbus detection is same as theone in the old DCT4 Tools/AFD.

About the new 'SafeFlash' feature:
During the last few years we saw number of phones loosing theiridentity unique information from flash due to errors in the loadersor full erase, when user forgot to back up the pm data.
The SafeFlash feature will automatically create an .ask file toa default program directory for every phone that is flashed withNSS.exe. In later time if you have an error with the phone (imei gone???????...) you can search the 'ask' directory and find the correctsaved file for the phone(this is easy, just select MCU file, check 'Fls Boot' option and you can read the original HW IMEI of the phoneso you know what file to select).
Then you can use our FREE service for calculation of restore rplfiles to generate correct rpl file, that you can use to repair thephone.
Note: You can generate .rpl file with the 'BackUp' button in theEeprom Menu of NSS.exe. The .ask to .rpl service will be usefull inthose cases:
1. You forgot to backup the phone before the damage happend
2. The phone don't have section 208 in the PM and back up isnot possible(1100 and similar)
Also note that this service will work only for .ask backups madefrom working phones. No DATA2 key(uem data) will be generated.The CHANGED key in the .ask file will be ignored, also mismatch in the UEM and flash imei will return error.
The service could be used with other flash boxes as well, but you have tomake sure to back up to .ask file manually, and also check for sure that the.ask file contains the original UEM imei.

As promised we release our new software Nemesis Service Suite. Please excuse us forrelease of not fully functional Beta version, but we have been extremly busy and overloaded with work, so this is the best we can do to keep the Xmas deadline and not brake our promise.
This software is replacement for the Prodigy.exe, and will work with 3 types of devicesProdigy, Nemesis Multiflashing Box and the µGenie USB device. Existing Prodigy users can use this software without any additional cost. As for the new devices, they are about to be introduced later, even the functionality to support them already exist in NSS.exe.
Important changes in Prodigy Framework, reflected in this new software:
our own ADSP device driver is no longer supported, ADSP flashing will be donewith the original Phoenix driver. This is to provide compatibility with other 3thparty service tools that are used on the same computer
APE flashing is tested and working on 9500 and 7710, but some more tests are needed on other models and different flash chips
DCT3 and Linda flashing is not debugged and properly activated in this Beta, pleasedo not use it for now
BB5 flashing is not fully added to the Framework, we will release this in very nearfuture
Run single test can cause crash, do not use this function for now
Lock to Network might not work at all on some phones
Support for latest flash packs is tested upto version 3.33, but there are still someissues to be resolved on latest flash chips
the Windows 98 device driver - prodigy.vxd is updated to work with the latest versionbut has not been tested
Please make sure to restart your computer after install to update your prodigy driver.Installing this Beta will break compatiblity with older Prodigy software versions alsothe i-mobile suite for Prodigy.
You will have to also copy the FlashUsb and Flash folder contents to the NSS empty directories with the same name. Usually you will have those in the installation path ofPhoenix or other 3th party tool.
You will need to update your Prodigy device to the latest build - 2.43, to do this please use the supplied update utility.
We havent added any 'crippled functionality', so the common question 'Will my clone work'will probably be answered with 'Yes', but we can not confirm this. We further extend thisby providing the free download of the Hex file of the Prodigy bootloader and full PCBs anddocumentation so you can make the device yourself and experiment with Nokia phones incase you are doing this just for a hobby.

Phone Info -
The Phone info menu will provide a Full Description and details of any Nokia handset connected, including:
Software version and Language pack.
Phone IMEI
Product code and hardware information.
For DCT3 and Linda handsets it will also display the user code.
Flash -
Prodigy can upgrade/downgrade firmware in all Nokia handsets. The Auto function automatically detects the phone connected and loads the flash files for you, just simple selection of the language pack is required (the content pack is also automatically selected). If the phone is dead then you may use the manual option to select the required flash files.
Prodigy is the only software on the market that can correctly flash the ADSP part of some Nokia phones. This ADSP part is responsible for the MP3 player and audio functions in N-Gage and Nokia 3300 phones. This is good for repairing possible contact service problems and other software related issues.
SP Locks -
Prodigy can unlock all current Nokia mobile phones (GSM) by the simple click of a button, the phone is uploaded with the new lock data. Prodigy can also Re-lock Nokia phones, which can be very handy for service centres. You can just manually choose the network code required and type it in, click Upload SP data. That's it.
Audio Test -
Prodigy can run Audio tests on all Nokia's. This will determine if the phones ringer is faulty or if it is just a software related bug.
Phone Reset -
Prodigy's phone reset page offers the following:
- Force user code.
- Set full factory.
- User data.
- Leave factory.
- Service centre.
- Software upgrade.
- Production tune.
- Format user area.
Each option is for different things, the format user area is good for all Symbian based phones and can cure many problems caused by faulty user data or bad software.
Eeprom -
Prodigy's Eeprom section is great for backing up your phones important data before you carry out any work. If there is a problem with the handset at anytime you can just restore the critical data held in your phone via the eeprom write button.
Phone Tests -
The Phone Self Tests function is used to trace handset hardware and software faults. With this function, you will be able to determine the actual fault of the phone in less then 10 seconds. On every start-up, the phone MCU will perform certain self-tests on its hardware and software components and will log the report for later use. This menu in Prodigy will allow the user to read this log from the phone and show it on the screen. It is also possible to save the result as a back-up or so that it can be printed later. The screen will display the test results after they have been read from the handset. The user can also make the tests run again.
Phone Book -
The Prodigy Phonebook Menu is used to backup the phonebook before flashing the phone and restore the phonebook after flashing. Just click "Read" and Prodigy will retrieve the phonebook details from the handset and create a *.txt format file as a backup. Very handy for customers that do not want to loose their phone numbers.
Display Test -
The display tests area allows you to modify the Contrast of the phone, or run screen tests to determine if the LCD is faulty.
For some Nokia coloured phones you can also adjust the contrast of the phone - 6100, 7210, 7650... etc.
Device Info -
Device info basically stores details about your Prodigy device, such as:
- Serial number.
- Device firmware version.
- Activation status.
…along with some other data. It is also used to update the firmware in your device when a new version is released, activation is done through this menu too once the firmware has been updated.
Unlock Codes -
Along with the SP locks section Prodigy can also remote unlock any Nokia, all you need is the IMEI and the network lock code that the phone is locked to. Enter the details and Prodigy will generate the required unlock codes. These are then entered via the phones keypad. That is it, phone unlocked.
Production Data Edit -
The Production Data Edit allows you to rewrite the following:
- Manufacture Date.
- Product Code.
- Hardware Version.
- Production Serial Number.
- Order Number.

Prodigy offers full MBUS and FBUS communication support for all Nokia phones.
